It’s always good to get some good close outs every once in a while… I am really happy to see a video dedicated to it.  This is some good stuff.

I Have A New Project

Urt Clothing… a project that my good buddy Ian Urtnowski started about a year ago.  We met up in La Jolla for a surf and he asked if I would want in on the project.

A tide chart printed on the inside of a shirt? OF COURSE.

We have been hammering away at the rejuvenation of the project for about 2 months now, and I feel really good about where it is at right now.

The idea is to build a brand by accommodating the needs of the ‘Ocean- User’ we are staying away from the concept of the ‘Waterman,’ as it has been overdone and now applies to the meat heads of the surfing world.

Urt embodies the spirit of people who quietly incorporate the ocean in their lives every day… We feel it is the healthiest means of existence and think that it should be applied in some context whether you live in the mountains, near rivers, lakes, or desert.  Always push yourself to go outside and breathe the fresh air.

We are starting with what we know best, the ocean.  So enjoy it and please buy a shirt.

I am going to have to admit that the surfing world has won.  I am getting pulled in.
